A federal court has ordered the removal of Donald Trump's name from the facade of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. by Friday. The board appointed by Trump to oversee the institution is mounting a last-minute legal effort to prevent compliance.
The Kennedy Center was named after John F. Kennedy in 1972. It was renamed to also include Donald Trump at some point after his return to office. The building continues to host the national symphony orchestra, the Washington National Opera, and approximately two thousand events per year, none of which are about this.
